Reading the articles

This site has no accounts, checkout or subscription form. Search and category filters run in your browser; the site's code does not send their terms to an external search engine. Images and presentation files are hosted with the pages.

Language selection and IP address

On the entry page without an explicit language, if you have not already chosen one, your browser requests a country estimate from Country. That service receives your IP address and estimates its country using server or network geolocation data. This website uses only the country code and does not request city or coordinates. Location cannot establish which languages you speak.

France, Monaco and the French territories listed in our configuration select French. Other countries, unknown results and service failures select English. Links containing /fr/ or /en/ retain their language. Without JavaScript, the entry page remains in English with both language links available.

Your manual choice is saved in browser local storage under maxibonheur-language. Our code does not send that preference to a server. Change it using FR/EN links or clear it in your browser's site data. No advertising cookie or audience-analytics script is included in the delivered site.

Hosting and email

The hosting provider may process IP addresses, request times, requested pages and technical information needed to serve and secure the website. Log retention depends on the hosting configuration. When you email, your address, message and attachments are handled by the recipient and email provider to deal with your enquiry.

Questions and external links

External websites have their own practices. To request clarification, correction or deletion of information you have sent, email contact@maxibonheur.com. Some information may need to be retained for an ongoing enquiry or an applicable obligation.
